Yesterday my husband, son and I took our pup Makena to our favorite dog park in Boulder. It is one of our favorite places to visit as a family. There is a HUGE tree that is in the center of the field on the west end. We ALWAYS stop at it to climb around on it, and of course take a picture or two. It is a special tree for us – our dogs have had fun climbing around on it, and now our son does it.

My husband and I were throwing the tennis ball for Makena into the open fields right there by the tree while our son Chase climbed the ginormous tree. All of the sudden, Chase comes running over and goes “Mom, I found this coin in the tree!” I looked at it and it was a gold dollar coin! I told him that it was $1 and that he must have discovered a magical money tree! His face was of pure amazement… and he went running back over it to look for more – obviously. He went on to find ANOTHER gold dollar coin sitting on this huge piece of bark strategically placed at his eye level. He found $2 in a tree!!!

After we left the site of the treasures, we were talking about it and I told Chase he is magical – and that HE created that money being delivered to him. I asked him if he believed that. And he smiled at me and said “Yah Mom, I am totally magical.”

I LOVE that I am helping my little guy realize his magic so early on and allowing him to open his world up to the amazing life he is so capable of creating for himself. Totally a huge moment for me.
