This Thanksgiving I had to get my car inspected. I live in Virignia and you have to get your car inspected annually. I took it in on Saturday and found out it was not gonna pass inspection and that the dealer was gonna charge $1200 for the repair that was needed for my car to pass inspection. With the holidays, plus our personal property tax due I didn’t have the extra cash for this expense. Long story short, my boyfriend was gonna front me the money to get the work done. My brother-in-law ended up doing the work plus extra for less. I was sitting on the couch that Sunday reflecting on the financial situation and I said to myself. I have so much to be grateful for this does not matter. My family is healthy, I have a life full of people that love me and I am blessed every day by GOD!
My parents called me that evening to say hi and I told them what was happening and they sent me a check for the full amount!! Now I did not ask for the money or make it seem like a bad situation. I truly believe that simply changing my attitude about the situation and feeling grateful that the money came back to me immediately! What a blessing!
