I believe in the laws of attraction and keeping thoughts positive. I was first introduced to this through the Secret.

One day a friend I hadn’t seen in 10 years said to me, “Everything you wanted you got”. I then realized it was true and I hadn’t ever realized it.

Now I try to practice training my thoughts. When something negative from the past comes to mind I just say, “God don’t let me think about that. I have forgiven and it is your place to judge the person. It is not my place,” and replace it with a happy thought.

My question is, is consciously creating one’s reality in any way against my belief in God? How do they work together? Could you clarify this?

Dear Loving,

Consciously creating one’s reality is in no way against a belief in God. In fact, just the opposite. Who do you think set this whole universe up? And yes, He (and She) created us in their images… as creators.

Does God (and Goddess) enter into our manifesting? Yes, absolutely. How?

What we are here to do is to remember the divinity within us. We are a piece of God. We play this ‘earth’ game to have the fun of remembering that. When we become successful at it, we experience ‘heaven on earth’; precisely what we planned to do (when we planned out this lifetime with God, Goddess, our Soul, higher self, etc).

When we fully take our power back, own our divinity and our God-given talents, strengths and gifts (yes, everyone has these… no exceptions), then we can co-create God’s dream for us and this planet.

But we cannot co-create until we own who we are. So those people who say, “I just want to do God’s will,” are missing the point. It is God’s will for us to fully actualize ourselves, and then and only then are we powerful enough to co-create with God.

Imagine you had a business, and you decided it would be fun to have a partner. Would you ask a newborn baby to become your partner? A kindergartener? Even a kid fresh out of college with no experience? Heck no. What would they bring to the table? Nothing.

It’s the same with a partnership with God. While we are spiritual infants, powerless and needy, any type of co-creation is a lie. But when we have proven our creation skills by manifesting a beautiful life, with joy, success and love, then we have some impact to add to the co-creation, and then and only then are we ready to co-create with God.

And paradoxically, we realize that finding our own success, our own joy, our own love of ourselves and others, is God’s plan for us. The most loving and giving thing we can possibly do, is add the highest resonance possible to this energetic mix of consciousness on this planet. Because every bit of flow that comes out of us affects everything in the entire multi-verse.

But, He has other ideas as well, not to be revealed until we have received the gift He (and She) have bestowed upon us… the gift of life with the ability to manifest our personal heaven.

A few days ago my husband and I set out on an adventure. We took our dinghy from New ProvidenceIsland to Abacos… an island I had never been to but was excited to see.

Here’s what happened:

The trip was supposed to take 35 minutes or so, by the charts. It took over an hour.

• We arrived in time for lunch and were hungry indeed. We headed into what we thought was the channel but had to turn around and backtrack all the way out to open ocean again when we saw signs warning we were in ‘restricted waters’. Apparently there is aUSnaval base there but you don’t really find that out until you are in it.
• The next channel showed more promise, but we ran aground badly in the shallow water. Ouch. A brand new boat too.
• We motored up to a dock that had seen better days – one section of its floorboards hung down into the water. Tide was so low I doubted my ability to even make it from the boat up onto the dock, and if I did I wondered if I would fall right through the rotting floor boards into the water!
• We entered the nearly deserted ‘yacht club’ and sat down – happy to have found a restaurant. Alas, of the four items offered for lunch not one was vegetarian let alone vegan. Leaving a tip for the trouble we left, still hungry.
• Hoping to salvage the trip, we head towards the Batik factory, but to our disappointment the one place we’d hoped to visit on this island was closed.
• By this time it was raining steadily. The forecasted sun was no where to be seen.
• Heading north we avoided the reefs, looking for a Cay that was ‘just up a bit’. Thirty minutes later, we finally found the elusive destination we had heard about.
• Running aground once again, we were remembering the woman who told us about this restaurant warned we would likely not be served without calling ahead.
• Finally we found a place to dock the boat. The ‘resort’ was seemingly deserted, and we headed down sandy pathways hoping to find a person to ask about some food.
• On the way home the wind shifted, the rain continued, and we fought 4-5 foot seas. The estimated 30 minute ride stretched out into 2 hours.

Sounds a bit dismal eh? At least a tad challenging?

Well, this also happened:

• The weather looked good and despite a forecast for the wind to pick up slightly later in the day, we shoved off from the canal behind our house and headed for the deep blue sea (er… ocean). The water was smooth as we headed out. It was fun to travel in this new boat that cut through the water like a warm knife through soft butter. I loved seeing one shore completely disappear just as the next was vaguely taking shape.
• We got to see a real life channel for the US Navy in a third world country! By the way, they mark their channels very well!
• We thought ahead and brought with us a bit of sustenance. Yes, a half a bag of potato chips isn’t filling or healthy, but when you’re hungry and lunch is a ways out they do hit the spot!
• Jerry, at the Fresh Water Cay dock was helpful, kind and knowledgeable. He tied up the boat, hauled us up onto the dock, gave us directions to the restaurant and did it all again when we came out 5 minutes later. For free (although we did tip him for his help).
• We came across a local woman just outside of the restaurant in the otherwise deserted area, who told us all the wonderful places to go on the island. Although she thought most of them would be closed on Sunday or were private resorts and wouldn’t seat us without calling in advance, she was lovely – friendly, helpful and even offered to drive us to a restaurant (but her car was in the shop). Still, wasn’t that sweet?
• One of the places the woman described rung a bell for my husband. He had met the owner just the day prior. How synchronistic was that? And the place he owned was the favorite of all the possibilities our new friend had listed.
• We found Kamalame Cay (pronounced kah’ mal a me key), as described by the native woman and my husband’s new acquaintance, and soon came upon a staff member who took us to the dining building. When we walked into the open air gorgeous building it was a site to behold – the outside reaching in, soft breezes blowing, tasteful island décor and enticing tables ready for lunch.
• Despite what we’d heard we had no problem being served lunch. We sat down to a sumptuous (vegetarian) meal.
• We were given a personal tour of the facilities, which includes a spa built at the end of a long dock. The spa floor is glass so you can watch the fish while you enjoy your massage!
• We were so delighted with our ‘find’ the 2 hour ride back flew by.

What you feed is what grows.

No matter how good you get at creating your reality, there will always be things that don’t turn out the way you expect. If you respond by giving the ‘bad’ things energy, by complaining, lamenting, telling the stories over and over… you will feed the ‘bad’. If you simply laugh it off, keeping in mind what you really desire and recounting only the positive, you feed the ‘good’.

And I’m not talking about just feeding this day. What you think and feel today feeds your future. Every minute of every day you are feeding something. Make sure it is something you want to grow.

We fell in love…

We loved Kamalame Cay so much we went back there for an overnight visit on Valentine’s Day and had one of those fish-watching massages! What could have been a dismal day was one of the most magical days imaginable.

Today, fall in love with the ‘good’. Give it energy, gratitude, attention. And let the ‘bad’ wither and die from starvation.

Another Valentine’s Day rolls around and those singles who long for love are emitting exactly the energy that will keep love away: sadness, yearning and wishing for love but feeling oh so… alone.

“Well, how else should I feel,” you may ask, “when I am alone and surrounded by an entire culture celebrating being not alone?”

 Let me let you in on a little secret, “In order to create what you want, you have to ignore – totally ignore – what you have.”

“What?” you say, “How can I ignore being alone when I’m alone?”

Well, you may have to play some mind games to make this work.

You could imagine you have the love of your life and a wonderful, fulfilling, beautiful relationship, but he/she is in a different country on business.

Or (and), when you go to bed at night imagine him/her in bed next to you, snuggled close.

Some might call this fantasy… I call it, “Prepping for The One”.

You see, it’s the thoughts, feelings and beliefs that make realities appear, so if you can think and feel as if you  have something already, you will draw it to you (if your beliefs allow).

It’s just a matter of time.

And honestly, what do you have to lose? It’s not like this isn’t a fun ‘game’. It is very fun to imagine yourself in a loving, supportive, giving, trustworthy, respectful, fun and joyous relationship – isn’t it?

What to do to bring love to you…

First make a list of the attributes you desire in a mate, and write a list of the feelings you will feel when you have this relationship… such as loved, respected, joyful, playful, secure, honored, etc.

Then, for seven nights, read the list (adding more attributes and/or feelings if you desire).

And when you read the list, feel those feelings. Feel how it feels to feel loved, and honored, etc. And when you snuggle into bed imagine your love behind you, hugging you and loving you through the night. You don’t have to see a face, just know they are there.

Then look for ‘signs’ that your resonance is shifting and you are drawing love to you.

What does a sign look like?

It might look like:

You notice a news headline such as, “So-and-so Finds Love at Last!”

Or a sign could be a call from one of your friends saying they are getting married. “What!” you might say, “how is them getting married a sign for me?”

It is a sign because you drew that reality to you… and drawing it to you at precisely the time you are doing this work shows your energy is shifting.

Another sign might be you receiving a little more attention from the opposite sex. “But I want more than a little…” you may complain.

Remember, these are signs, not the relationship itself. In order to bring the full relationship you will need to continue emitting those emotions (by feeling the way you will feel when you have it) for however long it takes for it to manifest.

“What if it takes forever?”

Now that is your adolescent self talking. It won’t take forever but it will take a while. And in order for you to allow it in you will need to continue working on it.

And the signs should help. They will show you that your energy (in the form of thoughts and feelings) does have impact.

And once you begin seeing that, it will give you the encouragement and determination to take the next step and the next! Remember, the only limits on what you can create are you.

Madonna has sold more than 300 million records worldwide and is recognized as the world’s top-selling female recording artist of all time by the Guinness World Records. At 53 years old she continues to amaze people on stage and off – last night’s Super Bowl performance case in point.

We all could learn a thing or two from her; no matter who we are or what we seek to create. No, you don’t want Madonna’s life (really, you don’t).

What you do want though, is your life (a life that is perfect for you) to manifest with grace, ease and spectacular success, like hers does.

How can you do that?

By realizing beneath every phenomenal success or dismal failure lies exactly the same causative factor. Beliefs.

How do I know what Madonna’s beliefs are? While I may not know every belief exactly, her reality shows what she must believe. For no one can create what is not within their belief system.

One of the ways you can discover beliefs is by the words you speak. And Madonna is no exception.

Here is what she says about her success and the nature of reality:

“I’m tough, ambitious, and I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, okay.” And:

“That consciousness is everything and that all things begin with a thought. That we are responsible for our own fate, we reap what we sow, we get what we give, we pull in what we put out. I know these things for sure.” And:

“Never forget to dream.” And:

“I am my own experiment. I am my own work of art.”

Are those the words of someone who believes she is a victim? Or powerless? Or undeserving? Absolutely not.

And here is what she says about her continued success despite her age:

“I am a survivor. I am like a cockroach, you just can’t get rid of me.” And:

“I feel just as hungry today as I did the day I left home.”

Of course it isn’t just positive beliefs that create her reality.

About relationships:

“I’m anal retentive. I’m a workaholic. I have insomnia. And I’m a control freak. That’s why I’m not married. Who could stand me?”

Madonna’s beliefs create her reality. Yours do too.

I listen to people talk about themselves and their reality in disparaging terms all the time. Some of them know about conscious creation, others do not. And their very words are creating struggle, hardship, disappointment and pain.

Are yours?

Your Inner Assignment:

Take stock of what words you say (or think). Anything less than wonderful, write it down. Uncover the underlying belief. Then change it.

Extra credit:

Assign a close friend to call you on your words which are not in alignment with your desires. And write them down. Discover the belief, and change it.

A Facebook reader* commented on the above quote and asked, “How do you prepare to be a millionaire? Just wondering.”

I think she was joking. But I am not.

If becoming a millionaire is what you want you can have that. You can have anything.

I created becoming a millionaire just a few years out of bankruptcy. It’s totally do-able.

Think of it this way… everything you see, feel, hear, touch, is an illusion. If it’s an illusion, does it really matter how much illusion you have?

Air is an illusion too. But we don’t see it as scarce so we don’t pay any attention if someone is getting more air than someone else. But we do with money. Why? Because we give it more meaning, more weight.

How do you make money more like air, and create an abundance of it like you do air?

You stop giving money weight.

How do you do that? (You do ask a lot of questions… I hear them!)

You change the beliefs like:

It is hard to become wealthy.

You can’t do what you love and be well paid.

In order to be rich you must give up something (your time, your family, your morals etc.)

What else do you do?

You do what Florence Shovel Shinn suggested… you prepare for being there before there is the slightest sign that you ever will be. What did she mean?

I believe she meant prepare physically emotionally mentally and spiritually.

Spiritually ~ Ask for assistance from your unseen friends to help you manifest the abundance you desire. Request that you are shown what stands in your way gently, clearly and with harm to none. Trust they will listen and respond.

Mentally ~ Watch your thoughts and stop thinking like a poor person. Instead, think like a rich person.

Example: You walk into a store you love, and instead of your normal thinking, “Gosh I wish I could buy this and I wish I could buy this…” instead you, the creator of your universe, say, “I could buy anything in here, the money just has not arrived in my account yet, it’s held up somewhere in time and space but it is on it’s way and I can buy anything, if not everything in here!”

Emotionally ~ While you may not have the type of experience (yet) in the photo above, and your actual experience celebrating in your car may be more like this one:

 It is important that emotionally you feel as though you are already a millionaire. That does not mean racking up charges on your credit card. It does mean treating your current car like it were a Mercedes and feeling like you already have the abundance you desire. This is a fun exercise, and so powerful you may be very pleasantly surprised!

Physically ~ This is the “action” part. Do some research on where you will invest your money. Start looking at cars and homes you may consider buying. Plan how you will joyfully spend your time when money is no longer an issue.

Caution: None of this will work unless you have your beliefs in alignment with the dream.

But if you do, baby, sky’s the limit!!

Taking action is part of creating anything

“Wait”, you might say, “if I can create anything can’t I create things just falling into my lap and not having to take any action at all?”

Very clever. Although theoretically, yes, you could sit back and do nothing and expect things to fall into your lap, it’s just not going to work as well.  Why?

Three reasons:

1. Action is a proving ground. When you have clarified the desire (step one) and given the desire energy (step two) taking action (step three) should feel positive. If it doesn’t, it’s a clue to go back to understand why. If taking action doesn’t feel good, or you aren’t motivated to take action, something is wrong and needs tending to.

2. Action intensifies the energies, speeding up the manifestation. Positive emotion (excitement, happiness, freedom, love) directed towards a thought (in your job, relationship, finances) with supporting beliefs (i.e. I believe I can have this, deserve it, can create it, etc) are what creates realities. If you felt joyous about what you wanted and believed you could have it you would want to get out there and begin doing it, preparing for it, taking steps towards it, etc. Those actions create more positive energy which allows your reality to shift, creating what you want sooner! 

3. Action is (or should be) part of the fun. The old adage “it’s not about the destination it’s about the journey” is a critically important concept in manifesting your dreams. It’s the energy of fun, excitement, fulfillment you feel along the way that draws to you the reality you desire. Action helps. You know you are on the right path when the journey towards your dreams is a blast, and that includes the action steps!

So what’s going on if you don’t feel like taking action?

One of two things is likely going on:

Either you don’t really want what you say you want, or

You don’t believe you can have what you want.

If you really want what you say you want, and if you believe you can have it, nothing would be able to stop you from taking action. You would be so excited, so juiced, so enthralled with getting this thing and expecting it to show up that you would be preparing for it every chance you got.

Case in point:

When I was in the midst of manifesting a loving partnership, I began thinking about the partner I intended on creating staying over, doing things together and the possibility of him moving into my home.

The action – I was so excited! I cleaned out and reorganized my closet. I bought a dresser for him. I bought hangars. I added some Feng Shui touches to the bedroom.

The result – within a couple of months he came into my life.

But if you aren’t excited, if you don’t want to take action, look deeper at why not.

Maybe it isn’t really what you want

I know someone who said he wanted to be a doctor. But he hated the idea of spending years and years in medical school.

When he looked deeper into his motivation, he realized he didn’t really like much about being a doctor at all. He was really after money and prestige.

Upon further self examination, he realized he wanted the prestige to prove to others that he was valuable.

He worked at healing his self-perception, changing the belief that he wasn’t valuable without the degree and eventually he realized the money flows where there is most excitement and passion (if you believe it can). He discovered a career path he loved and became quite wealthy as a result.

And if you look at whether you really have the desire, and at this point in time anyway, you do, then –

Maybe you don’t believe you can create it

One of the biggest reasons people don’t want to act is the fear of disappointment. They don’t, on a subconscious level, believe they can really create the thing they want.

Oh they want to believe it. But they don’t. And they don’t want to admit that to themselves because then the disappointment would be too much to handle. Better to hold onto the fantasy, even if it never manifests, than to admit you believe it never will.

Beliefs can be changed though folks. Brutal honesty with yourself is the only way to discover what holds you back.

You can create anything whatsoever you can imagine… one step at a time.

Suggested action steps:

1. Take action on a part of your dream this week.
2. And if you don’t want to, discover why not, change either the dream or the beliefs.

You can do this.

A friend of mine was telling me how much fun she had recently when her sister came to visit. They spent a few days in a quaint little town called Blackrock, once a mining town turned gaming town.

My friend’s sister, we’ll call her Marie, is quite new to the concept of reality creation.

As they sat down at the slots to try their ‘luck’, Marie said, “I don’t know why I gamble. I never win.”

“Don’t say that,” my friend said, “Say… I haven’t won YET!”

Marie laughed and said, “Ok, I haven’t won YET! Hey, wouldn’t it be great to win enough money to cover my plane fare out here?”

And she turned and put a coin in the machine. JACKPOT! Marie won 60,000 nickels – $300!

Her plane ticket was $301.65.

Astonished, she turned to my friend, “I can’t believe this!”

My friend replied, “It’s amazing, isn’t it? Now, can you allow yourself to receive even more than the cost of the plane ticket?”

Grinning, Marie turned away to cash in her winnings. When she came back, her grin had grown even wider.

“What’s up?” my friend asked.

“You’re not going to believe this…”

“What? Tell me!”

“When I got to the machine to get my cash, there was a $100 bill already in the tray!!”

On the other hand…

I was traveling myself this past weekend, attending a seminar with some very seasoned magicians who probably have more tools and knowledge about conscious reality creation than 99.99999% of the world.

As we sat down to lunch, I found myself listening to an in-depth discussion about how expensive and unaffordable the menu items were.

I did not participate. And I wondered if they realized how much energy they were giving to lack. Instead of focusing on how much they could afford they focused on what they thought they couldn’t.

Obviously it isn’t how much you know that makes reality manifest the way you want it to. It’s being conscious of the energy (words, thoughts, emotions, etc.) you are emitting.

How can you allow more magic in your life?

1. Remember who you are. You are a spark of the divine. You create your own reality. Really. All of it. Isn’t it time to create it consciously?
2. Let go of your cynicism, doubt and the past. Today is a new day folks. Don’t think, “I haven’t created my dream life”. Think, “I haven’t created my dream life yet.” Better still, “I intend to create my dream life, in the perfect timing, with elegance and ease and harm to none.”
   
3. Desire something. Anything. Make a list of 10 little things you’d like to have happen. Like, a surprise within the next week, a compliment in the next day, an extra $50, an unexpected gift in the mail, a joyous evening, etc.
4. Open to the possibility. Marie did it. You can too.
5. Notice what you receive. You have to pay attention folks, and search out the wins. We tend to focus on what’s missing. Not because we are bad, but because we are habituated to do that. We go unconscious and forget every word we speak, every thought we have, and every emotion we feel is creating our world.
   It takes a commitment to really look for the positive to be able to see it. Now all ten things may not manifest in a week. If seven do is that a win? Five? How about one? YES! Anything is a win!! The wins, if given attention, expand into more wins!!! This isn’t the only list you’ll ever get. You can make another one next week.
6. Allow that to expand. Here is a great way to receive a little win: “Ok universe, I asked for $50 and received $10. AWESOME! That must mean $40 more is on the way to me!! I rock! I created this! Yahoo!! I live in a loving and supportive universe and am consciously creating my reality!”
   And then, when the full $50 arrives: “Hooray!! I created this entire $50!! I am so happy! I wonder what it would be like to add a zero to that? Hmmm… ok universe, let’s create $500 in my reality!”
   
7. Be grateful. For things you asked for, for things you didn’t, for everything that is right and good in your world. Gratitude is a magical energy. Whatever you sprinkle it on grows.

If you have a dream and are not acting on it I say you have not a dream but a fantasy. And hey, that’s cool. Fantasies are fun.

But they are also frivolous. And they seldom, if ever, manifest in reality.

All I ask is – don’t fool yourself. And don’t give this Universe of Free Will a bad name by pretending you don’t create it all because your ‘dream’ didn’t happen.

To have a dream without action gives the universe conflicting messages. On one hand, you say you want this dream, on the other, you don’t really expect it to happen.

“What! Of course I expect it to happen!”

If you did, my friend, you would be taking action – showing the universe you are serious about this dream and fully expect its manifestation.

Hold on…

I’m not talking about blind action. If your dream is to move to Bali I am not talking about getting on a bus today despite not having the money to make it further thanPoughkeepsie.

I am talking about taking small, definitive steps towards that dream. Like:

Buy a book on Bali.

Join an online forum of ex-pats who now live in Bali.

Plan an exploratory trip toBali.

Make plans about what you will take, how much that will cost, and pare down your belongings now.

“Wait, I don’t want to begin getting rid of things – what if I never move there?”

Sweetheart, if you aren’t sure enough that you want to move to Bali to begin getting rid of the things you wouldn’t want to take with you, you should not be intending to move to Bali!

Instead, your intentions might be something like these:

• I intend to become clear on where I want to live.
• I intend to live in a place that is beautiful, warm, sensuous, loving, spiritual and exciting.
• I intend to have fun adventures in my life.
• I intend to try out various places to live (includingBali) in the next few years in an easy, elegant, flowing, freeing fashion.

Notice the new intentions do not preclude Bali, but they expand into a much wider range of possibilities.

These possibilities could manifest as a job with international travel (adventure) and a home base in sunny California or Florida (beautiful and warm) in a community so loving and connected (sensuous and spiritual) you are filled with all of the qualities you desired and more. You meet the love of your life there (loving) and suddenly you can’t imagine living anywhere else (clarity!).

Now maybe you didn’t know you weren’t that clear about moving to Bali until it came time to sell off some of your stuff… and it doesn’t really matter. What does matter is that when you start taking action, if you are paying attention, you do become clearer.

But more than that – taking action speaks volumes to your subconscious mind. Action solidifies your intention and strengthens your flow of energy towards that dream. Action is part of creation.

Now don’t just sit there – take a step towards that dream of yours today!

Ok so hopefully by now you are so excited you can hardly stand it! You have begun to let it sink in that you, yes you, create every single bit of the world you call your own.

Wow, that is amazing isn’t it?

But simply knowing you create your reality is not enough. If you want to manifest something consciously, you must flow energy towards that desire.

Why flow energy?

If you don’t flow energy nothing will change. You will get what you’ve always gotten, a lot of mediocrity – some good things and some not so good. This is what people call good and bad luck.

When you don’t pay attention and flow energy purposefully you are still creating your reality. Not by making things happen (consciously) but by letting things happen (unconsciously).

Imagine you are a car. And the fuel to get you to your destination (your desire) is energy (emotion).

The more fuel you put in, the faster you go and the faster you get to your destination, right?

Except there is this thing, lets call it anti-fuel. Negativity.

Negativity neutralizes the fuel so that is it powerless. And if it is strong enough, it propels you backwards – further away from the thing that you want.

To flow energy you need to imagine the thing you want and feel positive emotion about it at the same time.

Exactly how do you do it?

There are no limits as to how to flow energy! Just as there are no limits as to what you are capable of creating.

Two critical components are:

1. Thinking about having the thing you want (notice I did not say think about the thing… but think about having the thing – a subtle but important difference)
2. Feeling positive emotion (joy, excitement, peace, abundant, happy, free, secure, etc.)

Remember ~ emotion is the key!

Try this technique:

“Igniting Intentions!”

You have your intentions written out right? Uh oh. Back to step one for you.

Now, you have your intentions written out right? “Igniting Intentions” is a technique to light them on fire (metaphorically folks) and notify them, all the aspects of you, and the world at large that you are all about seeing them through to manifestation!

This technique is a way to put attention on, thereby flow energy to, everything on your list of intentions.

Every morning, and every evening, read your intentions (out loud if it is comfortable to do so). What? You don’t have time? Excuse me??

The creation of your world should be your top priority. Kids? Put ‘em in the intentions. Job? It too. Spouse, of course they should be there.

Everything in your world should be in your intentions. You are creating everything anyway – you may as well create everything the way you desire it.

If your intentions are not the most important thing in your life, you don’t understand the way your universe works.

So, read your intentions, each morning and every evening before bed, and just before you read them, read this (or something like this, in your own words if you prefer):

“I call upon my higher self, my soul, my spirit and all unseen friends who would love to assist me in the conscious creation of my personal heaven on earth. I ask for your support and assistance in manifesting all of my intentions with ease, elegance, in the perfect timing and with harm to none.

I request assistance with becoming aware of and understanding any beliefs or habits that stand in my way and that the learning and growing resulting from this process is gentle and loving.

Please also assist me in feeling the emotions fully as I read and manifest these intentions and help me recognize and own the little and big signs that will show these realities manifesting in my world.

I ask your assistance in helping me to manifest a dream even better than my intentions state, and I thank you in advance for your love and support.”

And then, read your intentions. With excitement! With joy! With love and gratitude because the more you can feel these states of emotion the quicker and better your intentions will manifest in your world!

Not many years ago, I filed for bankruptcy. How, you may ask, can one who purports to know “reality creation” have sunk so low?

Easy really – I got caught up in lack and scarcity. Nearly everything in my life was changing quicker than I could assimilate it. I became more and more panicked. Money was the thing I panicked most about.

I knew I could create abundance. But instead of having patience and slowly allowing the reality to unfold I could only focus on not having what I wanted. Subsequently I received more and more of what I didn’t want. One creditor finally forced my hand and I had no choice but to do what I feared most – go bankrupt.

I knew I shouldn’t have been focusing on lack. But oftentimes it’s easier said than done.

We have a tendency to know what we want yet we focus on the fact that we don’t have it yet. That focus creates a spiral of negativity that can completely sabotage the very thing we’re trying to create. Of course it doesn’t manifest. Then we worry more about not having it, and so on and so on.

Usually we lose faith that we’ll ever get what we want, when faith (a.k.a. patiently knowing it is coming) is the very thing we need. So what do you do if you find yourself in this abyss?

1. Stop– The first thing that it is imperative to do is take a break! Stop the negative thinking! The path you’re on when you get into a negative spiral like this (or martyrdom, or self-pity) is only going to bring you more lack and scarcity. Take a walk. Take in a movie. Meditate – you may want to, in your meditation, climb to the highest meditative mountain and scream at the top of your metaphysical lungs “NO MORE NEGATIVITY! STOP THIS REALITY NOW!” Then see yourself in the reality you do want. You may want to use a flower essence remedy to change your resonance, or hold a piece of citrine crystal, but the most important thing is to cease the emotion and thought filled with lack.

2. Regroup and Remember – Once you’ve had a chance to take a break from the bad vibes, it’s time to remember what is real. You really do create your reality. All of it. Not all consciously yet, but you do and you cancreate it fully consciously eventually. Begin today. Do whatever you need to do to regain that knowing and solidity of the power and ability you hold to change your world. Listen to tapes, read books, call a friend, but regain the deep knowing that you are the creator of your life.

3. Slow Down – One of the biggest obstacles to really allowing tremendous abundance is not being patient enough. Although I have created some marvelous little miracles, the big ones usually take time. I know you don’t want it to be this way, but it is. Patience, however, pays off big time. Usually once you have patience, things move at lightning speed (how’s that for a paradox?). That is because having patience does speed things up! You are no longer holding off what you desire by thinking about it not being here! Once I started really implementing this principle, I went from a temp to a manager to a vp to president to full 100% ownership of my own company within 2 ½ years!

4. Clarify – Now that you have some confidence back, what is it you really want? And how will that feel? Write it down in the form of an intention.

5. Take Stock – Are you doing what it takes to create what you want? Are you focusing on it? Are you taking action on it? Are you paying attention to what the universe is offering you in response, and adjusting your beliefs, action, focusing accordingly?

6. Give Thanks– Gratitude is a powerful, powerful resonance. Use it. There is something to be grateful for in every part of your life. I remember having the rent due, no job, no money and just sitting down with a little tiny check that would cover only 5% of what I owed… but I looked at that check and thought, “I created this. Over one hundred dollars! This money has come to me by my power, thoughts, emotions and choice. Plus I have unseen friends to guide and assist me in my creations. I am so blessed.” I refused to think about anything except what I wanted. I refused to feel anything but abundant. And boy did my life change!

7. Celebrate – Like I celebrated that little check, let every single thing you can represent a win. Affirm you’re receiving the things you desire… even the littlest signs. You are building the energy, and the little signs build bigger signs and eventually the actual reality. But only if you keep the juice flowing!
