“Put your whole soul and being and life into the act you are performing. In Zen archery your entire being wills the arrow into the bull’s-eye with an invisible force. No matter how small the task, you have to teach yourself that it matters.” ~ Zen Principle
Ok. You know that taking action is an important step in manifesting your desires. But you are confused as to where to begin, right?
Don’t worry. This happens to everyone at one point or another.
Do not – repeat – do not take action just to take action. Do not take action to ‘prove’ it to yourself or anyone else that you believe in your dream. Do not take action if it feels like it’s your duty or obligation or because you think you should. Those types of actions will stop your dream from coming!
What? Acting out of the wrong motivation will stop my dream?
Yes! The wrong motivation for action will stop your dream! And come on now, you’ve come so far, with setting those intentions and flowing energy towards your desire… you owe it to yourself and your future self to get this step right.
The first and most important thing to ask when considering what action to take is: what most excites you?
And if the motivation to act out of excitement isn’t readily available to you, that’s ok. It may just take a little finessing. So begin by slowing down. Take some time, get away from email, phone, family, friends, and just be with yourself and your dream.
And think about, and feel about how it will be to create what you desire to create. Imagine for a moment, that you could not fail. No way. No how.
Imagine your success is guaranteed. Stay focused now; don’t let your mind wander.
Knowing that and knowing you do feel like doing something, just not quite sure what it is; what would be the most exciting fun and joyous thing to do right this minute?
That is the thing to do next.
You see, it is our nature as human beings to joyfully create. It is our nature to dream dreams, to act from our highest excitement, and to manifest those dreams.
And the thing that keeps us from doing that is the conditioning we have received that says it’s not possible. Or worse, that if we reach for our dreams we’ll be punished.
Once we are back in alignment with our true nature, and we focus purely and simply upon our dream, we know instantly what would be the most fun to do towards that dream.
So slow down, keep dreaming, and above all else have fun on the way to the receiving. That, after all, is really what it’s all about.
In joyous creation,
